The Long Road Home

We got at around 8 AM and headed down for breakfast. Afterwards, we completed packing our bags and loaded them onto the truck, as it was finally time to make our way back to Belgium.

Our journey began with a drive to Entebbe Airport, a trip of approximately seven hours along a challenging road riddled with potholes and speed bumps. To pass the time, Maud and I teamed up for a lively Scrabble game against Thijs.

Once we arrived in Entebbe, we stopped at Via Via for dinner and more games, continuing the Scrabble match. As the game heated up, Thijs, struggling to keep up, enlisted Annelies and Pieter to help, determined not to lose. Later that evening, around 8 PM, we took a final group photo and made our way to the airport, ready for our flight scheduled at 00:05.

By around 2 AM, everyone was settled on the plane, and we finished our game of Scrabble, in which Thijs beat us by 10 points with his last move. This was all thanks to Annelies and Pieter, who helped him win. After that, we tried to get some sleep.
