Day of departure

We got up early, around 5 AM, because we needed to be at Zaventem Airport by 7:15 AM. After checking in, we didn’t have to wait long for boarding because our flight was scheduled for 10:15 AM. After a long flight, including a one-hour stopover in Kigali, we arrived in Entebbe at 10:55 PM.

Our driver, who would accompany us for the entire trip, was already waiting for us. After a short meet and greet and loading our luggage into the back of the bus, we drove to Via Via. Once everyone had been assigned a room or glamping tent, we went to the bar for a refreshing drink and some food. Soon after, it was time for our first night in Uganda.
